KOSC Tour: Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency – Hawaiʻi
Tuesday, October 20 | 10:00 AM
Tour duration: approximately 1–1.5 hours
Cost: FREE
Maximum attendance: 25 participants
KOSC members are invited to a special group tour of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
DPAA carries out one of the Department of Defense’s most meaningful missions: accounting for U.S. personnel who remain missing from past conflicts and providing answers to their families.
During our visit, we will learn about DPAA’s mission and the remarkable collaboration between military personnel, historians, archaeologists, anthropologists, forensic scientists, and other specialists involved in the recovery and identification process.
This is a rare opportunity for KOSC members to visit a federal facility that works closely with our military community and to see how science, history, and service intersect in the continuing effort to bring our missing service members home.
